On Halloween Eve 2010, the Remington Lion's Club hosted its annual Halloween Parade. An estimated crowd of 300 participants and observers gathered on Ohio Street to see a large variety of creepy or cutesy costumed guests. There were 20 cash prizes of $10 that were awarded to winners in an open class category. All participants recieved a trick-or-treat bag and candy bar. Lion's club members served as judges for the contest.
Following the parade, children and their parents went door-to-door trick-or-treating in town from 7-9:30 PM. The Mason's held their annual Haunted House-open to guests at no charge as an evening activity. The Remington First Christian Church held their parking lot tailgate and also offered cookies and hot chocolate to everyone on the chilly night.
More and more Remington residents are decorating for Halloween-some with lights, scary figures, and even fog and moving creatures! What fun!
Pictures of many of the costumed characters are available on this website in the Photo Gallery for Halloween.
