The first annual Remington Water Tower Days Festival was held June 10-11, 2011. The Friday evening and all day Saturday event was filled with activities for people of all ages. Friday evening was a fish fry at the American Legion, a variety of craft-vendor-food booths, games for children at Heritage Bible Church, and the Cheese Weasels entertained the crowd. On Saturday morning, a 5K run benefitting Downs Syndrom Indiana was held with 61 registered to walk or run. Town-wide garage sales were all morning, as was a Masonic Lodge Pancake & Sausage breakfast. The kick-off for the new Remington Farmer's Market was that morning, and since the Farmer's Market has been changed to Friday afternoons from 4-7 PM. On Saturday, Advance Auto's Monster Truck "GRINDER" was on display and there was a car show, chainsaw carver, afternoon parade and Legion lunch and bake sale. Entertainment for the day included Groove Catz, Darcy Pampel, EZRA, and the Tri-County Pep Band. The NEWLY OLDY WED game was a popular event. Jump in and volunteer to help with the 2012 Festival.
